Welcome! ....to agriculture's only complete Farm Financial Management Information System, or 'MIS'. All in a single package.

If that's a strange-sounding name, it isn't one we invented. We've only taken proven MIS technology from elsewhere, and structured it to farm and farm family needs.

We're professional accountants with years of experience in designing financial systems, and assure you the agMIS system is equal in every way, to the very finest financial management software tools used elsewhere.

If you know of any other similar farm software, ask us about it and we'll do our best to evaluate it, for you and others.

'Management information' -- it's more than 'accounting'

In the language of accountants, 'accounting programs' are their compliance-oriented tools. Information systems, on the other hand, serve and support internal operations and managers. And that includes accounting, too, of course!

The difference between 'accounting programs' and 'information systems'?
We like this description:

'Accounting programs focus on the end of the accounting period;
information systems focus on the journey getting there.'

Accounting software vendors work hard trying to make farmers be better accountants. At agMIS, we work hard to help you be better managers. Why? Because accounting results take care of themselves when the steps to achieving them are optimized.

To the extent an MIS system captures accounting data, of course, it's logical to furnish it to accounting, for any accounting program it uses. It saves work there, but also adds integrity to the information flowing to operators and decision-makers.

The agMIS system, by design, can support any level of accounting a farm may elect to, or is required to, maintain. Its principal value, however, is the many ways it can serve and support day-to-day farm operations.
